Shawn Blue is a mechanical engineering student, U.S. Air Force veteran, and hands-on builder focused on turning ideas into working hardware. His experience spans mechanical design, manufacturing, testing, electric vehicle battery systems, and liquid rocket propulsion, with an emphasis on learning through building, testing, and iteration.

Professionally, Shawn has worked in engineering and program management at eMatrix Energy Systems, supporting battery pack development, manufacturing, testing, and process improvement. Before entering engineering, he served as a U.S. Air Force intelligence analyst, an experience that shaped his structured, mission-focused approach to technical problems and project execution.

Outside of work and school, Shawn designs and builds experimental hardware ranging from flight simulation controls to high-power and liquid-propellant rockets. His current focus is rocketry, where he has fabricated and integrated a flight-capable liquid bipropellant rocket and successfully completed its first propulsion-system static fire. Across his projects, the goal is simple: build real hardware, test it, learn from it, and make the next version better.

Designer. Builder. Problem Solver.
